74 Miles Away is a collaboration between Jazz pianist Pierre Anckaert and beatmakers MonkeyRobot. After releasing their first album on Melting Pot Music, the trio recorded this track for Lefto’s show live at Studio Brussel… and we couldn’t resist including it on the LDBK compilation tracklist.

This is my first attempt to simulate an animated fractured material using DMM and SOuP for maya 2012.

The debris (nParticle + Instances) are generated just on the new generated faces with a specific particles emitter (thank Olivier from Pixelux to share his script .
The inherit velocity on the debris is generated by a pointCloudField (from SOuP plugin) using the « column » shape as source.

RND | WATER GENERATION ON CONTACT USING SOUP IN MAYA

This is a rough test to generate, proceduraly, particles when there is a contact between 2 surfaces with basic maya tools and the plugin SOuP

It’s very usefull if you want to create an effect like splash water directly in maya.
